Take a Moment With a Master

This prompt is dedicated to one of my favorite master American poets. Walt Whitman. I am going to quote leaves of grass, you will think about it for a minute, and then write a poem.

Another technique is to rewrite the quote by hand, and then go directly into your poem. Touching paper and pen outside of a technological world is sometimes the only way to live inside your own poems.

"HERE THE FRAILEST LEAVES OF ME

Here the frailest leaves of my and yet my strongest lasting,
Here I shade and hide my thoughts, I myself do not expose
them,
And yet they expose me more than all my other poems."
