Let's Talk Turkey

There are all kinds of programs to Adopt-A-Turkey on Thanksgiving. One of the national programs even has the President of the United States picking a few and "pardoning" them from the chopping block.  So, in that vein, imagine the life of a turkey that is being fatted up for Thanksgiving.  Then, imagine what the turkey will think when it doesn't need to die after all.

Write a poem in the voice of that turkey.
